Disability Counselling and Support

We recognise people with disability who have had violence, abuse, neglect and/or exploitation perpetrated against them.

Funding for our Disability Counselling and Support service finished at the end of 2023 and unfortunately, as a result, we are no longer able to accept new clients.

Since 2019, Relationships Australia Victoria has been privileged to provide support for:

  • people who have had violence, abuse, neglect and/or exploitation perpetrated against them, and
  • those impacted by the Royal Commission into Violence, Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation of People with Disability (Disability Royal Commission).

This service is the Disability Counselling and Support service.

The Disability Royal Commission has been looking at issues of violence, neglect, abuse and exploitation of people with disability.

Formal submissions to the Disability Royal Commission closed earlier in 2023. A final report was delivered to the Australian Government in September 2023.
